The mayor of Fortuna considers fundamental the reactivation of the works since the new Center of Health would have to be operative in the next months
Among the different decisions taken at the meeting held by the Local Government Board in the morning highlights a written request to the Ministry of Health to be ready to resume work on the new Fortuna Health Center.
A request made in response to the delay in the reactivation of a project that had a temporary plan to open it in 2017 and that still has not been completed by mid-2018.
The Mayor of Fortuna, José Enrique Gil, has carried out this management with the aim of speeding up the remaining bureaucratic and political issues so that the works are back in operation and give rise in months to an infrastructure "very demanded by fortuneros and that It is urgently needed to decongest the current only health center and offer a quality service according to a public health guarantee. "
The building project is planned to have 3,268 square meters, of which 1,910 correspond to the ground floor and first floor, and on the ground floor will be distributed the administrative unit, adults and emergency unit, consultation of the social worker, the unit of physiotherapy, as well as the units of pediatrics, women and dentistry.
On the first floor will be installed 14 consultations, seven of which will be general practice, six nursing and one multipurpose while the semi-basement, which will occupy 1,358 square meters, is reserved for the facilities and services of the building, warehouses and parking for the staff of the center.
After the appearance recently in several media of listing of new health equipment in the Region of Murcia where in addition to Fortuna others appear in Murcia, Molina de Segura, San Pedro del Pinatar, Cartagena, Lorca, Bullas, San Javier or Abanilla, José Enrique Gil hopes that "all these actions soon become a reality but that Fortuna is a priority since the works are paralyzed and is a question that can not be delayed any more".
