The Ministry of Education has decided, despite the existence of more than sufficient demand, to suppress the Basic Vocational Training Cycle of "Administrative Services" and the Medium-Degree CF of "Administrative Management".
CCOO Enseñanza considers unacceptable the decision of the Ministry of Education to suppress -employing reasons of budget shortages- the training offer of the Professional Family of Administration corresponding to the Basic Vocational Training Cycles and Middle Grade in the IES of Fortuna.
The IES "Santa María de los Baños" has 21 students who wish to take the Basic FP of Administrative Services (12 of them come from the IEP-Inclusive Learning Program) of the IES and the rest of the students of 21 and 3 Of the ESO proposed by the school guidance service of the IES).
On the other hand, 16 students have expressed their willingness to study the Medium Degree Cycle of "Administrative Management" in Fortuna.
CCOO rejects both the decision of the Ministry: to suppress this training offer committed by the General Directorate of Vocational Training, there being more than enough demand for students that will be left unattended in this way, as well as the ways in which it has been carried out: unilaterally, without prior notice , without official communication to the IES, and with contempt of the work of orientation and advice to the students that carries out the teaching staff of the Institute.
CCOO also rejects the reason given: need to cut spending in the face of the economic difficulties of the Ministry of Education.
Strange necessity when the decision is taken simultaneously to the agreement -private teaching financed with public funds- of 8 FP cycles in different private centers.
CCOO demands that the Ministry review its decision and, respecting the work of the professionals of the Center, allow the enrollment of the students that are demanding it in the IES of Fortuna.
