| It is one of the 70 works affected by the September damage that the Community is executing and which have a total cost of 4.5 million | The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure reinforces the security of the regional highway that connects the municipalities of Molina de Segura and Fortuna (RM-A5) thanks to the reconstruction of a slope that supports the road that was damaged by the rains of the last September.This action, which also includes the repair of the base and the pavement of the highway platform, is one of the 70 works that the Autonomous Community is carrying out in order to correct the damage caused by the damage of last year, and which they are valued at 4.5 million euros.The Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, supervised this week the repair works, which cost more than 47,000 euros, and will conclude this June.

"This action will mean the improvement of mobility for the nearly five million journeys per year that this road has," said the regional manager.The regional executive insists on knowing the distribution criteria of the European Union Solidarity Fund approved by Brussels a few weeks ago, and that the State has an obligation to transfer to the affected autonomous communities.Fernández Lladó recalled that, of the total of 57 million euros authorized by the European Union, "the Region of Murcia as a whole would correspond to 10.7 million".

This figure is the total cost of the expenses made by the Community and the municipalities in emergency works to restore normality in their infrastructure after the torrential rains of last September.
