The community invests more than 700,000 euros in the sewage collector in Los Baños de Fortuna (01/07/2010)

The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the mayor of Fortuna, Matías Carrillo, today inaugurated the new collector to collect wastewater from the Baths of Fortuna, which has involved an investment of 768,000 euros, built by the Autonomous Community and financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union

The new pipeline has a length of four kilometers long and will allow the conduct of wastewater from the bath area to the municipal waste Fortuna, where they will be treated and managed by the Bank of Sanitation Murcia (Esamur).

This work will be an environmental improvement and the possibility of increasing the volume of recycled water for local irrigation.

This new collector in Los Baños de Fortuna General Plan is part of the cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia "in its final phase focuses on connecting small and medium towns already built into the treatment plants," explained the director Agriculture and Water, adding that "98.5 percent of the regional population is already connected to treatment plants."

The purification and sanitation plan regional an investment of more than 600 million euros, and is "a benchmark in this area to other parts of Europe for its comprehensive scope, which extends to all cores in the region, and the degree of quality of treated water and environmental improvements achieved, "said the owner of Agriculture and Water.
