The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the mayor of Fortuna, Matías Carrillo, today visited the construction of improved road safety, which the Ministry has completed in the RM-414 road between the towns of Fortuna , Abanilla and Santomera, benefiting over a million and half of drivers per year by eliminating two black dots.
"Since the regional government actions are undertaken as carried out in the RM-414, a road with high traffic intensity, continuing the strong commitment to progressively increase road safety and to eliminate the black spots on the Net Community roads, "said the counselor.
The work, which will facilitate the changes in meaning and seek a reduction in speeding in the area, has involved the construction of two roundabouts in the 7.5 and 9.3 miles.
These new road infrastructure providing access to the population of Genet and the urbanization of the clock, as well as surrounding farms in the area.
Specifically, the two new roundabouts, which have received an investment of 509,708 euros autonomous, have two lanes each four meters, 0.5 meter shoulders interior and exterior of a meter.
Also, it has placed a new lighting and drainage system, as well as the corresponding vertical and horizontal signs, and buoys.
"These two roundabouts, as well as having primary aim is to contribute to traffic management and better quality of driving, have been designed under the common denominator to use decorative materials that do not require the use of water. For this reason, because the name of the nearest population center, one of the roundabouts has a sundial at its center, "said José Ballesta.
The Minister recalled that "the Department will invest more than 730,000 euros in improving the firm in the section between the origin of this approach, Santomera Cruise, and the connection to the output Santomera-Abanilla of the A- 7, as part of the development of conservation projects of the Network of Highways.
